A joint mathematics seminar in the Chicago area
Analysis and Additive Combinatorics in Chicago
AACC brings together graduate students, postdocs, and faculty across Chicago-area institutions working in analysis, additive combinatorics, and neighboring fields — and connects them to the wider global research community. Meetings are held on Thursday afternoons, with varying frequency.
About the seminar
Why AACC exists
The goal is simple: foster a vibrant local research community of graduate students, postdocs, and faculty across our institutions, and connect them with the broader global network in these areas and related fields. In practice, that means each talk is pitched so that a second-year graduate student in any of these areas can follow the first half, alongside the kind of hallway conversation that turns into a collaboration.
Talks range across additive combinatorics, Fourier and harmonic analysis, ergodic theory, discrete and metric geometry, and the combinatorics of finite fields — reflecting the overlapping interests of the groups involved.
